Account and verification

Who can open a BitOasis account?

Anyone aged 18 or over who lives in a supported country and passes identity verification can open a BitOasis account. You need a mobile number and a government-issued residency ID or passport. This page describes the service for UAE residents who use AED; BitOasis names other countries as supported, but its published lists differ. The official store links are on the BitOasis app page.

Which documents do I need to verify my identity?

You need a government-issued ID (front and back) or a passport, a liveness selfie, your residential address and a source-of-funds declaration. The BitOasis help centre describes these as one onboarding procedure. The declaration includes a statement that you will not use the account for payment services or peer-to-peer trading. Use documents in your own name.

How long does verification take?

No fixed time is published. The BitOasis help centre says verification can complete automatically when your documents are in order; otherwise the application goes to manual review, which takes longer. Have clear photos of both sides of your ID ready, and enter your name and address exactly as they appear on the document.

Can I have a business account?

Yes, BitOasis lists a service for corporates and institutions, but the onboarding steps are not covered on this page. For large trades, the BitOasis OTC page, opened on 11 October 2026, states a minimum transaction of USD 100,000 and requires Tier 2 verification. It shows no fee or spread. For business enquiries, start with the official contact channels.

Adding AED

How can I add dirhams to my account?

You can add AED in four ways: bank transfer, Easy Funding, debit or credit card, and Apple Pay. Bank transfer and Easy Funding cost 0%. Card and Apple Pay cost from 3.99%. Easy Funding, cards and Apple Pay are for UAE customers only. Every funding method, with its limits, is in the BitOasis fee schedule.

What is the minimum amount I can add in AED?

The minimum is 100 AED. The BitOasis help centre gives that figure for adding funds and repeats it for card and Apple Pay payments. A single card payment can be at most 50,000 AED, with up to five card transactions a day. BitOasis charges 0% on a bank transfer, but it does not cover charges made by your bank or a correspondent bank.

How long does an AED bank transfer take to arrive?

An AED bank transfer is typically credited 30 to 45 minutes after the funds reach BitOasis. The bank leg before that can take up to 2 working days, so the total depends mostly on your bank and on when you send. If timing matters more than cost, a card or Apple Pay payment is credited instantly, for a fee from 3.99%.

Can I pay from someone else’s account or card?

No. BitOasis accepts payments only from a bank account or card in your own name, and allows up to 3 cards per customer. Withdrawals follow the same rule: they go only to a personal bank account in your name. If the name on a payment does not match your BitOasis account, ask support before you send it.

Trading and fees

What is the difference between Lite and Pro?

Lite shows one quoted price; Pro lets you place your own orders. Lite is the simple buy, sell and swap service with a 0% trading fee. Its quote includes a spread that BitOasis does not publish, so 0% is not the whole cost. Pro adds market and limit orders, advanced charting and order books, with maker-taker fees. Both are set out on the page about buying Bitcoin with AED.

What are the trading fees?

Lite has a 0% trading fee. Pro charges 0.38% maker and 0.58% taker on crypto-to-AED pairs at the entry tier, falling over nine tiers to 0.10% and 0.30% from AED 50 million of 30-day volume. Crypto-to-crypto and stablecoin pairs start at 0.10% maker and 0.18% taker. On an order of AED 10,000, the entry-tier taker fee is AED 58.

Which assets can I trade?

You can trade more than 60 digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ether, USDT, USDC and XRP, against AED or against other crypto. The list changes as assets are added or removed, so check the live platform for the current one. A listing is not a recommendation. One of the most common first purchases is covered on the page about buying USDT with AED.

Withdrawals

How do I withdraw AED to my bank?

Sell your crypto for AED, then request a withdrawal to a personal bank account in your own name. The minimum is 200 AED. The fee is 25 AED for amounts up to 25,000 AED and 65 AED above that. BitOasis does not pay out to an account in another name. The steps and costs are on the page about withdrawing AED to your bank.

How long does an AED withdrawal take?

From the same day to a few days: BitOasis publishes two statements. Its help centre says requests made before 11:00 AM UAE time, Monday to Saturday, are processed the same day, and later requests on the next banking day. Its fees page says withdrawals take 1 to 2 days to process and up to 3 days to credit. Plan for the longer one.

Can I send crypto from BitOasis to another wallet or exchange?

Yes. You can send crypto to an outside address on the networks BitOasis supports for that asset. Receiving is free. Sending costs a network fee per asset, for example 0.0005 BTC for Bitcoin and 2.00 USDT for USDT on TRC20. Check the network at both ends first: the help centre says funds sent on an unsupported network may be lost. The wallets guide explains how networks and wallet addresses work.

Security and custody

Who holds my crypto?

BitGo entities hold it. Under the BitOasis Terms of Service, wallet and custody services are provided through BitGo Custody MENA FZE, BitGo Trust and BitGo Inc., and client virtual assets sit in segregated wallets that are not co-mingled with company funds. BitOasis also says a majority of its users’ crypto is held offline in cold storage, without giving a percentage. The detail is on the page about custody and account security.

How do I secure my account?

Turn on multi-factor authentication. BitOasis offers four methods: biometrics, a time-based one-time password from an authenticator app, SMS codes and email codes. Use a password you use nowhere else. Do not share a code or a password in reply to a call or message until you have confirmed it through live chat or [email protected].

How do I check that a call or message is really from BitOasis?

Confirm it yourself through live chat or [email protected] before you act on it. No support phone number appears on the home, About or Security pages of the BitOasis website, and BitOasis has not published whether its staff phone customers. Verification emails can also come from [email protected]. To check a channel or a domain, contact support through the official list.

Regulation and complaints

Who runs BitOasis, and under which licence, is set out on the About page: the company and its licence.

Is BitOasis licensed?

Yes. BitOasis Technologies FZE is licensed by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) for Broker-Dealer Services, VASP Licence reference VL/2024/11/001. The register showed the licence as Active on 11 October 2026. A licence is not a protection scheme, and no financial protection scheme covers a BitOasis account. What the licence covers is on the page with the VARA licence details.

How do I make a complaint?

Send it through the complaint form, the support page, [email protected] or live chat. BitOasis says it makes a first attempt to resolve a complaint within 3 business days and resolves it within 3 weeks. If you are still not satisfied, its Compliance Officer gives a final response within 6 weeks, and never later than 50 days. Each step is in the complaints procedure.

Can I take a complaint to VARA?

Yes, after the BitOasis procedure has run. The Compliance Officer gives a final response within 6 weeks, and never later than 50 days. A complaint that is still unresolved can then be referred to the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. A referral is not a claim on a protection scheme. Which authority covers what is set out in UAE crypto regulation explained.
